Hello Michael,

thank you very much for the suggestion! Saving embedded media locally,
including audio and video files supported by HTML 5, is certainly
something MAF could do.

For determining what is included in a saved page, MAF uses either
the browser's standard save system or the integrated Save Complete
component. If I remember correctly, the standalone Save Complete
extension has an option to include embedded media, which at present
is not used by MAF. Could you try with the standalone Save Complete
extension and let me know if the content you expect is saved?

If Save Complete already works as expected, I'd only have to expose
the same option in MAF. Otherwise, we could ask Stephen Augenstein
to include this change in Save Complete :-)

correctly.

Can you please post an example of how the the first "Content-Location:"
header appears in the problematic MHTML file, if you open it as a text
file?

Mozilla Archive Format version 0.14.0 is now officially available
for download at <http://maf.mozdev.org/>.

This version is experimental (not included in automatic updates)
and introduces a significant compatibility improvement in the
generation of MHTML files, as well as other compatibility
enhancements when opening files created with other browsers.

In rare cases, the changes introduced in this version may cause
MHTML files that previously opened correctly to render improperly.
Feedback on any such case is welcome, in order to tune the new
code that handles MHTML files.

MAF 0.14.0 has the following user-visible improvements over MAF 0.13.4:

    * The integrated Save Complete extension has been updated to
       version 1.1pre.
    * Improvements related to Save Complete 1.1pre:
          o Support for saving media files referenced by HTML 5 video
             and audio elements in MAFF archives.
          o Support for creating MHTML files that are 100% compatible
             with Internet Explorer and other browsers.
    * Much improved rendering of MHTML files generated by other
       browsers.
    * Web addresses displayed in the Archives dialog are now decoded.
    * More robust cleanup of the temporary directory on shutdown.
    * Less chance of compatibility problems with other extensions.

The following issues are known to exist in MAF 0.14.0:

    * When saving a page in an archive fails, retrying the download from
       the Downloads window does not achieve the expected result.
    * Opening very long documents contained inside MHTML files may cause
       the browser to stop responding temporarily.

Thank you for reporting the problem! I identified it as an issue with
the Save Complete component, that is probably triggered by an invalid
local file URL referenced in the document you are attempting to convert.

I fixed the issue, and the fix will be available in the next
experimental version 0.14.1, which I hope to be able to release
this week-end, or maybe sooner.

I expect that the fix will solve your case too: you'll be able to
resave the page, even though you'll probably receive some warnings
about the invalid URLs. When the release will be available, I'd
appreciate if you can confirm that the problem is actually solved.
