They redirect to jar:file:///home/username/Desktop/filename.maff!/marinelli/node/8 The filename of the saved archive appears to be treated as the root, & all other pages get a not found, & do NOT point to the online live versions. Note that absolute URLs to other sites work 100% perfectly (check some of the links at the bottom of the page) I've tried disabling jar protocol, rewriting of absolute URLs, etc but still not working. I've then tried saving ebay's main page, & every link is working 100%, even sub-pages of the main domain. Any help? I'm using 0.10.2.0, firefox 3.0.8, Ubuntu 8.10 x64. Hello, I guess you are using the integrated Save Complete component to store the pages you mentioned; in fact, rewriting of absolute URLs on save is a feature that's missing from Save Complete 0.9, which is the version included with MAF 0.10.2.0. Fortunately, with excellent timing, Stephen Augenstein just released Save Complete 1.0; the latest experimental version of MAF includes it, and you can download it from here: http://downloads.mozdev.org/maf/maf-0.11.0.0-fx.xpi Please note that this version of MAF is not extensively tested, and it is quite strict about errors in the page being saved; broken links in the site may cause the entire download to fail. However, this might work for you; please try it and let me know if your problem is solved. Everything is working great! - Thanx! I'm a long time user of your extension. I really panicked when you didn't update it for firefox 3, & I dreaded that the project had ended - Thank God it's still going strong! You're work is really appreciated! Thank You so much for creating & developing such a quality extension. > Demonix SD wrote: > >> Hiya, I've tried saving many different Drupal sites, e.g.: >> >> http://demo.twidori.com/ >> >> http://www.signalkuppe.com/marinelli/ >> >> etc, & all of the relative links to sub-pages, etc do not work! Thanks for your rapid feedback, I'm glad it works for you :-) The merit is of Stephen's Save Complete 1.0! > I'm a long time user of your extension. I took over the MAF project some time ago, since Christopher hadn't much time to work on it, and revamped it for Firefox 3. I'm happy that the project he started is still so popular, and I guess he is happy too :-) Paolo From pgaga at auracom.com Mon Apr 6 19:14:56 2009 From: pgaga at auracom.com (Philip Griffin-Allwood) Date: Mon, 06 Apr 2009 23:14:56 -0300 Subject: [Maf] Relative Links in Drupal-Type Sites Do Not Work In-Reply-To: References: <49D8E7BD.2060701@gmail.com> <49DA2B09.5020208@amadzone.org> <49DA3656.2060203@gmail.com> Message-ID: Monday 06 April 2009 I ran the 0.11.0.0 with my usual test systems (OS X, OS/2, Ubuntu Linux, and WinXP) using my weekly work download. MAF version 0.11.1 is now available on the website as experimental, but since 0.11.0 works correctly, and the difference is only in error reporting, I will include version 0.11.1 in automatic updates soon. MAF 0.11.2 has the following user-visible improvements over MAF 0.10.2: * The integrated Save Complete extension has been updated to version 1.0.1pre. * Improvements in Save Complete 1.0.0: o Relative links in the page being saved are now converted to absolute links. o Scripts and stylesheets referenced inside Internet Explorer conditional comments are now saved. o Fixed some minor parsing bugs. o Improved parser performance. * Improvements in Save Complete 1.0.1pre: o The download progress bar does not hang anymore in case of network errors or problems with the page being saved. o More detailed error reporting if the download operation fails. o If some of the content embedded in the page is not available, the download does not fail anymore, but a warning is reported. * Fix: MHTML files created by Opera couldn't be opened. Now MHTML files having no quotes around the |boundary| parameter in the |Content-Type| header can be opened correctly. The following issues are known to exist in MAF 0.11.2: * If the first entry of an archive is not a web page, but for instance an image, it cannot be displayed when opening the archive normally. * If an archive contains multiple pages, refreshing the tab displaying the first one may cause the other pages to be opened again in new tabs. * When saving a page in an archive fails, retrying the download from the Downloads window does not achieve the expected result.
