Hello all,

Many of you may know of c't, a european computing magazine with a pretty
large distribution (website ctmagazin.de). A while ago a representative
of c't contacted me stating that MAF had been pre-selected to be
included on a CD with a short write up on what it does and with my
permission, they would like to include it. I forgot all about them with
all the other stuff going on since then, but this morning I got a copy
of the magazine in the mail. The write up is on page 153 and because
it's in german I translated it using google language tools. MAF is one
of 53 selected Internet tools (there's more stuff in different
categories) available on the CD. The german's not perfect because I
don't know how to make the special characters. ;).

German writeup (by heb)

Mittlerweile konnen alle gangigen Browser eine Website inklusive der
eingebetteten Bilder, Skripte, Animationen und Stylesheets speichern,
doch fuhrt das schnell zu einem unhandlichen Wust an Dateien. Mozilla
Archive Format packt in Firefox und Co. zusammen, was zusammengehort,
indem es Webseiten mit allem Drum und Dran in einer Archivdatei
verstaut. AuBer dem genuinen MAF-Format unterstutzt die
Firefox-Erweiterung auch ZIP-Archive sowie - rudimentar - das
MHTML-Format, mit dem Internet Explorer Webseiten archivert. Naturlich
zeigt Mozilla Archive Format Webseiten in allen drei Formaten an, sodass
Firefox ganz nebenbei zum MHTML-Viewer wird.

http://www.google.com/language_tools?hl=en Translation from german to
english.

Meanwhile all gangigen Browser a Website konnen including the embedded
pictures, Skripte, animations and Stylesheets stores, but drove that
fast to an unmanageable mass at files. Mozilla of archives format packs
together in Firefox and CO, which together going place, by stowing away
web pages with all Drum and to in an archive file. AuBer the genuinen
MAF format unterstutzt the Firefox extension also ZIP archives as well
as - rudimentar - the MHTML format, with which InterNet Explorer web
page archivert. Naturlich indicates Mozilla of archives to format web
page in all three formats, so that Firefox becomes completely besides
the MHTML Viewer.

You can get the gist from the translation. Basically, Wohoo! :). There's
just something about seeing your name in print. Seeing this made my day
and I thought I'd share the news and my enthusiasm.

Regards,
Christopher.
