Hello all,

While I am technically back from my hiatus to deal with all the things
involving my grandfather's death I'm still quite busy trying to catch up
with commercial work that had changed schedules because of it. There has
been quite a bit of bugzilla activity for MAF, some bugs, some
enhancement requests. The issue with some of the enhancement requests is
that many times it's a matter of taste and I can't please everyone.
While it's true I could add preferences for some of the functionality I
really don't want to make MAF too complicated for me to maintain by
myself. It's a labor of love. :).
I've gotten quite a bit of eMail since 0.5.0 was released over the
removal of the items from the File menu. One of the enhancement requests
http://bugzilla.mozdev.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9995 is tracking it and
because it's a UI change, making it a preference and integrating it into
MAF may break some stuff that currently works well. In a situation like
that I'd ordinarily deny the request or give it a really low priority
(sorry David). I keep forgetting how many people use MAF though, and I
got a very polite eMail this morning from someone named Jesse basically
asking for the same thing. While Jesse could only afford to offer me a
gmail invitation for the request, I re-considered the request as Jesse
is disabled and highlighted how difficult it is for a disabled person to
use MAF without File menu entries or shortcut keys.
MenuMAF is the result. It requires MAF to be installed first, but
adds the File menu entries with shortcut keys. I just uploaded it to the
server, so it'll take a while to propagate. It's small though so you
should be able to get it from
http://downloads.mozdev.org/maf/menumaf-0.5.0.xpi soon.

Thanks everyone for your feedback on MAF,
Regards,
Christopher.

P.s. I already have a gmail account Jesse, but thanks for the offer all
the same. :).
