What should be needed to compile the code? Do you expect it to need
modifications before compiling on Mac can succeed?
I could try for you if you like; the problem is that I only have a
vague idea of what XPCOM is. :-/

I can understand your concerns. The general idea people have about
extensions is that they should be free, so I suppose it will still
take some time before some money can be earned with a Firefox extension.
On my side, I would not pay for MAF simply because I actually never
used it, yet. I have both PC and Mac, so in the rare cases when I
needed to save or open an MHT file I had IE at hand; and having a
fast and flat rate connection I rarely need to save stuff for offline
usage. But I installed MAF (some time ago) out of curiosity, mostly
because I thought it could be the only way to handle MHT files (which
can be useful soon or later) on systems different from Windows.
Indeed, I've seen some Mac users asking on some newsgroups how could
they open MHT files, and unfortunately the old MAF versions had
problems on MacOS, even with files created by MAF itself.

So, I'd be glad to help in building MAF on OSX, unless trying it
reveals to be too much trouble on your side or mine.
