First of like to say a nice little util i have
been using 0.4.3 for a while on and off.
Being compatible with IE for mht files is useful.
I just updated to Firefox 1.0.3 and while i was doing updates
I checked and found an update for MAF to 0.5.0.
This version exhibits some behaviour I found unusable.
To do with the names of files when ctrl-s is pressed.
If I happen to go to page and hit ctlr-s and save it defaults to the
"title" in the title bar filename with html tacked on. This is not good
as mostly I want the filename displayed in the URL as default save file name.
In addition if the name isnt a problem but i wish to save in MHT or MAF
format then when i change the drop down to MHT or MAF the .html extension
on the filename stays there and when i hit save it adds on .mht or maf.
[its rathering annoying.] Having to edit the filename isnt acceptible for me sorry.
The behaviour is even worse for images.
By default if you view a JPG or GIF in Firefox the title contains
"original filename.jpg (JPEG IMage, 525x802 pixels)"
So when I hit save with MAF 0.50 installed it defaults to a filename
of "original filename.jpg (JPEG IMage, 525x802 pixels).jpg" which is
not workable.
You have a nice extension keep up the good work,
I hope I dont sound to full of complaints and I Hope you think
my feedback is useful :).
Maybe the simplest solution might to provide an option to
control the default filename behaviours ?
Best Wishes
Robin
