Once it's set executable for user, MAF should work.

Make sure the temp directory has both read and write permissions for the
user set.

Extension not plug-in. ;). I don't have a MacOS X box to test it on but
theoretically it should work. If the native MAFF format doesn't work,
try the MAF MHT. It doesn't use any scripts but requires the temporary
folder to have the right permissions set. Just to make sure, open the
preferences, load the defaults, save and close. Good luck.
