[Maf] Some web pages won't save as MAF files

I've recently discovered the MAF add-on, which finally makes Firefox useable
as a research tool.

I'm using Firefox 1.0 and MAF 0.4.3 under Win 2000 SP4

Most of the time it works OK, but when viewing some web pages, the File/Save
Page in Archive command seems to have no effect. The window (which shows
what I think are running scripts which save the page in MAF format) just
does not appear, and no MAF file is saved.

In such cases, saving as MHT also does not work.

I'm wondering if this is the equivalent of the problem with IE in which some
pages can't be saved in MHT format.

I've noticed the FAQ entry:

Question: MAF on Mozilla for Windows 2000 and XP just hangs when trying to
open or save pages, why?

Answer: Not too sure, but it seems that there are some strange permission
problems that are created when the scripts are installed. If you can, try
moving the MAF script installation to a non-ntfs partition (and modify the
scripts accordingly). Alternately, opening the batch files in notepad and
saving them back does the trick for some users.

I'm not sure if this is the same problem - In my case, Firefox/MAF does not
hang, it just does nothing...

If it is the same problem, exactly is the "MAF script installation" that I
should move? Is this the mafzip.bat and mafunzip.bat files?

Best regards,

Doug
