[LibX] FF8 and libX

I installed Firefox 8 on a test computer (I don't think it had libX 1.5), then installed libx2 beta and had no problem using it.

I'm following this conversation intently, as we've also had reports of problems with Firefox 8. I found that after I got the icon to show up in FF8, I had to restart the browser one more time to be able to select the icon and use the toolbar. It seems to work fine for me.

Thanks for the suggestion. I just tried that and can indeed get the icon to show up in FF8, but if I click on it, nothing happens.

Hi Kristin,

You can get LibX 2.0 to show up in FF by going to View > Toolbars > Customize. You'll see the LibX 2.0 icon in the buttons available. Just drag it onto your toolbar where you want it to live.

I had several users contact me this morning saying that their browser updated to FF8 and libX isn't compatible.

I built a test edition and it wasn't working yet either. I tried installing LibX 2.0 to see if that would work and it installs successfully but I'm not seeing any evidence of it in the interface. (no button next to the address bar, no context menu, no configuration, etc)

Any ETA on a FF8 compatible version?

Thanks,
Kristin
