We have the following idea. There is a new Instant Messenger out, it is serverless and decentral, so done over a p2p system of a DHT based on kademlia see here: http://cspace.in As it is not a competitor compareable to yahoo or AOL or ICQ or MSN or Jabber, it is more like a p2p protocol to have a decentral Message System owmed by the userbase. it is free from advertising and needs no central servers, so this is worldwide a new chat protocol. I want to ask, if there is interest, to add it to Thunderbird or Firefox. Maybe this could be done over an extension, as Cspace, call it Cyberspace, is written in Python. For Thunderbird it could into the programm an added column, as netscape had once the AOL buddies in a field next to the email-folder integrated. Fro Firefox it could be more like a simpel text-tool-bar under the url-bar, showing all users online, so that you can doubleclick a user an the chat window of cspace is opening... As I an not a developer, I want to ask, if here is someone supporting the idea to have an extension or an integration of this p2p messenger into firefox or thunderbird. my contribution would be documentation, tutorial and website descritption for that extension as well a part of that project management. maybe you have interest to look at it, I am nto the developers of CSpace and they have a lot of to do so the firefox extension or thunderbird integration would not come from there. Beside I think an instant messenger, not referin to any company, but a decental p2p userbelonging thing is added value to the firefox browser and Thunderbird Mailclient. If anyone agrees, I appreciate a feedback here Thanks! http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=446101 -- Echte DSL-Flatrate dauerhaft f?r 0,- Euro*. Nur noch kurze Zeit!
