Thanks to Pawel (prefiks), The JabberZilla project has been plugging along. It has a new and better backend with an improved Graphic User Interface to follow. Howevere is there a reason why Jaberzilla is now using .so/.dll libs as apposed to using pure JS? The reason I ask is that this makes Jabberzilla no longer as portable as it was... Which is a little less attractive for me.... unless there are plans for Windows/Linux and MacOS versions. Cheers -Jed -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. To implement some parts of jabber protocol access to few interfaces accessible only from c++ is neede (for example JavaScript doesn't allow to start TLS negotiation or didn't give access to some crypto functions). > The reason I ask is that this makes Jabberzilla no longer as portable as > it was... > > Which is a little less attractive for me.... unless there are plans for > Windows/Linux and MacOS versions. There are plans to support systems other than linux. But this is only system with required developer tools, to which i have access now. JabberZilla should not be just for Linux, but be available to everyone. Everyone, let's start a green light session. What would improve the latest release of JabberZilla? What would be the ideal features and advantages of JabberZilla? You could post your thoughts here or at http://jabberstudio.org/projects/jabberzilla/features/ and let us know that you posted them. jabberzilla-request@mozdev.org wrote: >Send Jabberzilla mailing list submissions to > jabberzilla@mozdev.org > >To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit > http://mozdev.org/mailman/listinfo/jabberzilla >or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to > jabberzilla-request@mozdev.org > >You can reach the person managing the list at > jabberzilla-owner@mozdev.org > >When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific >than "Re: Contents of Jabberzilla digest..." > > >------------------------------------------------------------------------ > >Today's Topics: > > 1. This week's release of JabberZilla is now available at http://jabberstudio.org/projects/jabberzilla/releases/ . For a more professional look and make JabberZilla easier to use, this week's release cleans up the menubar and adds ctl-w to chat window. We need your help for suggestions on a bug for the roster (4877). It loads too slowly. Prefiks has some ideas on how to fix it, but it may be tricky. If you have any ideas, please let us know.
