Hi,

I'm a long time user of infoRSS and have lately experienced some  
problems. My setup is infoRSS 1.1.4.2, Firefox 3.0.4 and Mac OS X  
10.5.5.

What I have noticed that some feed headlines have the beginning cut  
off. My headers are in the status bar.

Last few days I have also noticed that when I rightclick on one  
header, the following header is also removed at times. This can happen  
at times when my finger is accidently doubleclicking, but that is not  
what I have done these times as I have been observant on the  
behaviour. And I don't think it's a mouse problem, since I haven't  
noticed any problems in other applications. I'll try to remember to  
command-click in the future and see if that changes anything.

I didn't have these problems with Firefox 2, so I think it's an issue  
with the latest version.

I hope this can be solved.

I'll make a note of it the next time I see a cut off headline and take  
a look at the RSS-feed. I get this from various feeds.

You can forget about the problem I have with marking headlines as  
seen. When using ctrl-leftclick the behavior is correct. So this is a  
problem with my mouse.

Just got the problem on http://www.linuxjournal.com/node/feed

The, at present, last title was cut off from "Black Friday - Shopping  
for Your Linux Loved Ones" to "ed Ones". I'm not sure if this is a  
lead, but the first and the last titles were new to me. The others I  
have seen and marked as that earlier today.

When will InfoRSS 1.1.5 be fully released?

I had exactly the same problem that Mark Jackson reported on 17th October 2008 (podcasts not automatically downloading under InfoRSS 1.1.3 or 1.1.4 on FF 3.0.x). I downloaded 1.1.5 from the URL you gave in your reply to Mark and it fixed the problem for me too.

in regular expressions in the HTML Parser?

I was trying to do this:

<li class="date">([^<]*)</li>.*?<div class="blah blah">...etc

The important bit here being that I don't care what's between the list
item and the div, and I happen to know it will be other HTML tags.

I worked around this odd behavior by using "[^?]*?" to approximate ".*?".

Ah, yes. Yes there is.

I suppose I shouldn't assume that the DOTALL flag is on... Is there a
way for me to turn it on? I'm familiar with RegExp (Perl, POSIX and
GNU varieties), but not Javascript regexp. If there's a suitable
quick-ref on the web, I don't suppose you could link to it from the
HTML parser dialog?

This is something I have noticed when I have developed the technorati, digg, ... regexp parser. The dot star is not able to match the carriage return . I always have to replace the dot star by a "not something" which can match the carriage return. Don't ask me why. I looks like a known bug in the way the regexp in javascript is implemented, if I follow your link.

Hi Steve,

I glad to hear that while you are playing and taking good time, you ask for a new feature that I should implement as fast as possible. This is not the way the open source world works. I may consider you request, but I also have a life, a wife and a family, and I have to prioritize all the requests I have from other users and my free time. By the way, did you consider making a donation to the author for the effort ?
The cheapest solution would be to generate a version just for you from the current code, and just consider the refresh rate as second instead of minute. Are you ok with this ?
