Yes, the following plugins have been updated:

Java 6
Adobe Reader 8

FireFox has also updated itself with the 2.0.0.4 and 2.0.0.5 upgrades.

To be honest, I'm not sure of the sequencing of the plugins being updated and infoRSS not updating. I'm certain the firefox 2.0.0.5 update did not make a difference although I can not say the same for 2.0.0.4!

In fact, the quick fix was to prevent FF3.0a7 to fail when it was using an depracated API (passwordManager). I have made some research and find was it the new API but I didn't implement it yet. As long as you don't read feed with user/password, the quick fix is OK, if you need secured connexion to read the feed, you have to wait for the next fix... :-)

Hi, I am kind of new to using inforss, and there are alog of options in 
this thing..
I was hoping that someone could tell me if there is a way in all these 
options to make a new item get removed from inforss as soon as  it is no 
longer in the news feed?
Thanks in advance for pointing out what may be obvious, and I am just 
not quite seeing.

Hi,

If a news is no longer in the feed, it should be automatically removed on the ticker. There is no option to handle that.

Frustration with prior content re appearing in the status bar.  This feed source will put out all it's content and when they add a new item I get to see all the old as well as the new item?

  

Same thing happens with a non .NET org, 


I have this functionality "Problem" in a few feeds.

So how do you fix this because it's just not right to see headlines in the register from Jan 2007 still today.

Could you send me the url of the feed. I will take a look. There is a "purge local history after..." option that control the retention period for a feed. I can not keep history forever for all feeds. Most of the feed owner purge the content of their feed on a regular basis, so you don't get 6 month old news. So, if you still see headlines dated with Jan 2007, this means that the feed contains very old news.

For each feed, in the basic tab (option dialog), if you open the "setting" tab, you will see that option. The one with the checkbox is where you defined the default value for new feed.
