There's an enhancement request open on this ( 
http://mozdev.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=10035 ).  It's a good point... 
the workaround for now is to copy all of the ieview.* lines from user.js 
in your Firefox profile directory into the new machine's user.js.  That 
*will* completely carry over the ieview configuration.
