From gnome at hawaii.rr.com Thu Dec 7 18:38:53 2006 From: gnome at hawaii.rr.com (david) Date: Thu, 07 Dec 2006 16:38:53 -1000 Subject: [Ieview] About making IE View work on Linux and WINE Message-ID: <4578D03D.7040700@hawaii.rr.com> Many of us Linux web designers use IEs4Linux as a convenient way to install and run IE 5.0, 5.5, and IE6 (IE7 support is in progress). One difference is that IEs4Linux doesn't do a full WINE install and configuration, it just does what's needed to run the different IE versions. I had to modify the iexplore-launcher script by replacing: wine "c:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" "$@" & with the path and executable that IEs4Linux uses to launch IE6: /home/[your user id]/bin/ie6 "$@" & You might consider adding a feature to IE View that would let you select multiple "IE"s, or even other browsers (such as Opera). It would be very handy to be able to right click a page, select a menu item like "View This Page In" and have a flyout menu with options like "IE 6.0," "IE 5.5", "IE 5.0", "Opera 9", etc. In the meantime, thanks for the extension, it's pretty cool! -- David gnome at hawaii.rr.com authenticity, honesty, community From sandesh.test at gmail.com Wed Dec 20 19:23:41 2006 From: sandesh.test at gmail.com (Sandesh Rokade) Date: Thu, 21 Dec 2006 08:53:41 +0530 Subject: [Ieview] Need help in using ie with Firefox on linux Message-ID: Hi Guys, Could someone send me step by step instructions of how to use ie within firefox 2.x (patched with latest patch) on Linux (Linux oasis 2.4.21-4.EL #1 Fri Oct 3 18:13:58 EDT 2003 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux) Thanks in advance for your help, Regards -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
