IE View and IE Tab are two different extensions.  Some of the old IE Tab 
versions identified themselves as IE View (they use a lot of IE View 
code), so the update manager would pick up a new version of the *actual* 
IE View and replace the modified (IE Tab) version.

You should uninstall IE View, and go to http://ietab.mozdev.org/ to get 
the latest IE Tab, which is now a real extension on its own.
