Thought I'd try IETab on a Mac....
Tab cobes up but when you try to invoke a web page the browser (2.0.3) advises
that you don't have the plugin (application/ietab)
Runnin OS X 10.4.9 with i.e. Mac 5.2 (shudder)
Additionally, I can't seem to set the path for IE

Please note that IETab only works on Windows because its plugin relies
on COM to control IE (See "Requirement" section on
).
But you may want to have a look at ,
especially at the fourth point of "Known Issues" which presents a
work-around for IEView on Mac.

Tried to set location of IE, but the IETAB wouldn't let me, and I got this
error message:
Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code:
0x80004001 (NS_ERROR_NOT_IMPLEMENTED) [nsILocalFile.target]" nsresult:
"0x80004001 (NS_ERROR_NOT_IMPLEMENTED)" location: "JS frame ::
chrome://ietab/content/ietabSetting.js :: anonymous :: line 295" data: no]

thanks for the info. the reason I want to run an IE tab is so I do not
have to touch IE. That is precisely why i do not use IE View. IE View
open IE, which i do not want.
It would be great if someone could figure out an IE tab for the Mac.
There are lots of us who want it. Unfortunately, I do not have the
expertise to program such an addin.

Subject: [Ietab] IE Config
Message-ID:
Hi all,
in our company we are using FF 1.5 and 2.0. IE is banned and to prevent users to use it anyway we configured a wrong proxy adress. This seems to be a problem while using IEtab. It looks like IEtab is picking up the Internet-Connecting settings from IE rather then from FF config. Is this correct? Woueld it be better IETab get its info from FF? Is this possible?
Kind regards
Ullrich Reuter
