[Ietab] FF won't start after using IETab as a home page tab

I've set IETab as a one of my homepage tabs and I can't get Firefox 
to start up after I've done this.  The best I can do is to create a 
new profile, but this of course doesn't have all my extensions and 
settings  that I would like.

So, my question is how can I get firefox to open after I have used 
IETab as one of my homepage tabs ?
