[Habarixenu] bug with network folder profile?

I have installed Habari Xenu on a couple of different systems, with a 
number of different profiles. While I have not extensively tested this 
problem, it appears that when a Firefox profile is created using the 
"Choose folder" option, and chosen folder is on a network drive, then  
Habari Xenu hangs (actually, goes into "Checking:..." mode, but never 
comes back) when it tries to access a news site. Some more details:

   1. Test #1: Windows XP system, Firefox 1.02, network folder on a Net
      Appliance system
   2. test #2: Windows XP system, Firefox 1.04, network folder on Samba
      (FC3 Linux)

Hope you can fix this - HZ is my favorite news reader. By the way, using 
network folders is very important at my work site, as this is where we 
keep our home directories (and also the only directories that get backed 
up).
