[Greasemonkey] Using a script

I downloaded and installed a script to copy video files from Google etc. 
When I try to download the actual video file, it does come up at the bottom 
of the screen that the data is being transferred, but it does not appear to 
be going anywhere. Default was desktop for downloaded files. I tried to 
download to C:\ that did not work, and I also created a new folder in the 
directory of C: that did not work either. In each case, the message at the 
bottom of the screen was that data was being transferred? Any ideas anyone?
