If we're "voting", I'm for keeping this list alive, possibly mirrored
(if
Opinion supports that) to one of the forums, and with plenty of hints on
the Opinion site that remind posters that the "traditional" (and
"official"?) discussion happens here.
I, for one, probably would not make the time to go and visit a forum
every day, but I'm /constantly/ in my email app, so I see the
discussions
here and participate.
In short, launching the forums means splitting the community, with a few
diehards participating in both. Discussions will happen on the forums
that
would normally have happened here (and vice versa). Without mirroring
this forum there, people will pick one or the other and only participate
there. It's unfortunate, but it's only natural.
Just one guy's opinion (which may have a tiny bit more weight because I
have worked at companies that run online communities and know how it
goes).
