It wouldn't be to replace this list for discussion. but it would provide a
better interface (with the way Opinion does things) for individual script
discussion. For an example see the Opinion implementation for Chad Fowler's
upcoming book: http://fora.pragprog.com/rails-recipes


I like the simpler 1-layer version, except I would separate extension

I agree, I prefer the 1-layer version as well.
