Jeremy's right. Is there an easier way in OSX besides running from the
commandline with a -p? I don't know one. Here's that:
$ /Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox-bin -p
This gives you a place to make a new profile. You can keep the old one
(and as many old ones as you allow to lay around).
