[Greasemonkey] I wonder if this is even possible...

With my very limited knowledge of javascript, I'm not at all sure if
this is even possible, but I'll ask -- is there a way to automatically
download several images (as in "save picture as...") -- but, only do
this if the pictures are not already captured?

Yes, this is the second extension I want to make to the eHarmony site.
As it is now, members can upload up to 4 photos. They are presumably
"protected" from a right-click/save-as operation, however in practice it
doesn't work (not even in Internet Explorer!) It does work well enough,
though, to make manual downloading a bit tedious. Ultimately, I'd like
to update my first script to check if I've already "cached" the
thumbnail photo, and if so, reference the local copy (faster and doesn't
"spike" the server)

And the final twist: since users can change the photos at any time, I'd
like to be able to detect that the photo is different, and if so, get
the new item.

I know that this starts to do things people have always feared websites
would do -- "screw around with YOUR computer, reading and writing files
at will..." but in this case it is really stuff *I* want to do in the
first place -- does the user.js script suffer the same limitations as
other scripts and website elements?
