[Greasemonkey] Can greasemonkey set user prefs?

Yes, I've constructed a couple of extensions based on the output of
Anthony's GM compiler.

The extensions are used to annoy spammers & spamvertisers and therefore have
questionable legality, so aren't hosted at mozilla. If you're interested
you can download (right-click on the "Install" link and choose "Save Link
As...") them from this page...

I found the tricky things to get right were the install.rdf and update.rdf
files.

The extensions are just Zip files in disguise. Change the extension's
extension (:-)) from "xpi" to "zip" and it can then be opened. Note that
I've obfuscated the GM js file, so it's a little hard to follow. From
memory everything else was generated by the compiler.

Hope this helps...

Shall be very useful. waiting for your update.

I found a compiler which explicity writes that it can compile for mozilla.

check at: http://www.letitblog.com/greasemonkey-compiler/

might come handy.

btw, are there any ff extensions developers here, who made any extension
using greasemonkey scripts?

thanks.
