[Greasemonkey] Can greasemonkey set user prefs?

Why would it be a security hole?

The user needs to install greasemonkey script on his pc in firefox. It 
doesn't happen automatically. Thus, if a user is foolish enough to 
install script from unauthorized sources that might have a trozan/ worm, 
the security hole is in that user's head, not in firefox/ windows.
