[Greasemonkey] Greasemonkey stopped working on latest nightlies

Hello,
I think this has been mentioned before, although I saw no responses to
that message, but Greasemonkey seems to no longer work on the latest
nightlies (1.8 branch). This has probably been going on for a couple of
days.
The following error message shows up in the JavaScript console:
Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Unexpected error" nsresult:
"0x8000ffff (NS_ERROR_UNEXPECTED)" location: "JS frame ::
chrome://greasemonkey/content/dochandler.js :: anonymous :: line 264"
data: no]
I have tried installing Greasemonkey on a fresh profile, but that didn't
seem to matter. I'm running Greasemonkey 0.53 (although the problem is
there with 0.51 as well) on a Linux build. I have seen at least one
similar report for a Mac on the nightlies thread, so it's not platform
specific. (Or it only works on Windows).
If I remember correctly there was a check-in not too long ago that might
have caused this. I'll look for that now and report when I find it.
