[Greasemonkey] unable to use 0.5.3

hi all,
 
I just downloaded and installed 0.5.3 on a WinXP-SP1 box with FF 1.0.7  (I had no previous install)
 
all seems to work well, but when I Install a script (even a do-nothing script), I do not get the successful instal message, and in the manage scripts, I can not see my script. if I click again on install script, I do not even get the install dialog
 
I reintalled FF, created a new profile but I always have this behavior. if I insist, I can no more run FF (the app start but I have no window and I must kill FF) untill I create a new profile.
 
any idea ?
