nah, since (I suppose) extensions are "loaded" multi-threaded, this would be a matter of milliseconds and 
hence coincidence... 
Only good explanation I can think of is some bug (probably RC3-related) in the first version of the toolbar 
you installed, which was fixed before you installed it again
