[Greasemonkey] Can't Install User Scripts

I'm using Mozilla Firefox 1.0.4 on Debian Linux (powerpc)

(Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux ppc; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050517 Firefox/1.0.4 (Debian package 1.0.4-2))

Using Greasemonkey 0.3.3 or 0.3.4 I get the following error (in an
"Alert" window) whenever I try to install a user script:

	Could not download user script

	[Exception..."Component returned failure code: 0x80004003 (NS_ERROR_INVALID_POINTER)
	[nslDownloadManager.addDownload]" nsresult: "0x80004003
	(NS_ERROR_INVALID_POINTER)" location: "JS frame ::
	chrom://greasemonkey/content/greasemonkey.js :: anonymous :: line 299" data: no]

I do not experience this problem on my x86 (Athlon) box.

I have tried creating a fresh profile and got the same result.

I have also reinstalled Firefox.

I imagine if this was a universal problem on Debian Powerpc, I would be
able to find out more about it via google, but so far I haven't been
able to.

Any suggestions and or advice would be much appreciated.
