Which nightly are you running?  The FF 1.0.4 candidates now include a 
fix to a DHTML regression that's similar to this error -- and for me, at 
least, the 0.3.3 build works fine with the latest:  Mozilla/5.0 
(Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4
