Since my gut reaction is and was that this isn't a good idea that is 
probably the right discussion to be having.

Possibly, though User Agent is already overcrowded and disputed turf.

I'm remain unclear on what problem this is solving.  I'm hoping for a 
compelling uses case for why this makes the grease monkey script 
writers, or script users more cheerful monkeys.

On the other hand I see it as creating risks for users.  Adding 
complexity.   Invading their privacy.   Inviting sites to shun grease 
monkey users.  Dragging attention away the crux of the fun; i.e. what I 
can do without bothering to engage in a dialog with the origin site.  
This stuff is cool, in part, because it doesn't touch those tar babies.
