Yes, that's what I do. The jar file is just a .ZIP file. The
shell I'm using (TotalCommander) treats ZIP files as virtual
subdirectories, so I can just copy/edit the files in the JAR
file including the flashblock.xml file. You might need to
delete the xul.MFL file (when firefox is shut down). This is
the XUL cache. Recent versions of Firefox seem to hide this
file under <user>/local settings/application data/somewhere.
