Hi There Jesse,
I think what you are referring to is colloquially called
"Flash cookies". See the last entry in our FAQ on this issue.

There are some links on how to block flash cookies but they
may be out of date. If anybody has some updates I can add
to the FAQ they would be more than welcome.

By the way the link to the program items took forever to load
in both Firefox 1.0.7 and 1.5.0.1. In fact after 15 minutes
none of the items loaded at all. But Seamonkey 1.0 loaded the
program listing page in a flash. Anybody know why?
