Ok, I see, interesting. Giorio Maone, who posted the last comment
(2005-06-30) is the author of NoScript.
I just checked out NoScript a bit more, and noticed that "chrome:" (as
well as "jar:") is included in the default white-list. I hadn't really
thought of a solution that simple!
I haven't at all tested if it (Flashblock with NoScript with whitelisted
"chrome:") works though. I was going to wait until Firefox 1.1 with
installing Flashblock (and Noscript too for that matter -- NoScript
makes my FF 1.04 highly unstable (though this is apparently fixed in the
FF trunk leading to 1.1 and in the branch leading to 1.05))
I'll get back here when I've tested this (i.e with FF 1.1 or some beta
thereof).
Oh, btw, will "more automatic Uninstallation/Updating" of Flashblock
work if I download a Nighly from the current Firefox trunk?
