[FB Help] Firefox Bookmarks / Cache Questions

Hi, 

I would just like to ask where Firefox keep its bookmarks. I can't
seem to find it anywhere on disk. I assume that it isn't structured in
the Internet Explorer way, where it stores bookmarks as *.url format
in <username>\Favourites. How, then do I backup my bookmarks say,
before reformatting my system? Are the bookmarks stored in a database
of some sort, and if so, how can I retrieve them individually?

Another question I have is where Firefox stores my Temporary Internet
Files like cookies and webpages. Am I correct to say that it stores it
in the Temporary Internet Files folder which is also utilized by
Internet Explorer? Are there other places which it stores user
information?
