Maybe an enhancement would be to enable a link from the filterlist to adblock/filterset.g extension, which would immediately provide a reguarly updated list of sites/links that shouldn't be followed. Also a question, how does fasterfox know that a link is indeed static, and not a dynamic page pretending to be static? Best extension I've ever stumbled across. With FX2, they implemented the new "Recently Closed Tabs" feature -- is there a way that Fasterfox could somehow be extended to use the FastBack feature with recently closed tabs, as well as recently browsed pages? The basic functionality in the browser is nice, but re-requests the page from the server, which simply won't do for dynamic pages (order summaries, PayPal pages, etc). I'd take a stab at it if I had any clue what I was doing. Can someone more knowledge give me a yay or nay on this? Thanks. That is why when i first went to version 2 of Firefox I was disappointed to see it missing in action. I was quite pleased when it was again available downloaded it, and again was relieved that your extension sped up page loading. I was surprised a couple of days later when I would select items on some pages but especially Ebay and the cursor would jump and the page moved up to the top of the screen from wherever I was on the page. After a couple of days of this I started to eliminate programs running at the same time. I went to your program as my second choice and as soon as I removed your extension the behavior went away. I hope this helps to solve the issue. If I can be of any help please let me know. This is a great extension and I would hate to lose it's use. I will send a snap of my system if you like. I will also try it again to see if it was an install issue and if it changes I will let you know. Stan Baker -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Thus, when wondering if a slow page should be reloaded, we can look at the counter and know if we're just waiting on a small fraction of the page or not. --Mike ____________________________________________________________________________________ Yahoo! Open a new tab in Firefox and browse to "about:config". In the filter field, type in "extensions.fasterfox.pageLoadTimer". Change the change to true. Check under the "Fasterfox" tab of the add-on's option dialog, and make sure that the option for the page load timer is ticked. Failing that, uninstal and reinstal the add-on. This isn't a glitch -- Fasterfox tweaks the submenu delay in Firefox. In the add-on's option dialog, select the "Custom" radio button on the first tab if it isn't already. Go to the "Rendering" tab and change the "Submenu Delay" field to something more your liking (300ms is the default value). It should -- I don't think there have been any changes made in the way the Fasterfox detects whether or not it should prefetch. Just set up your site like the FAQ says to and then load up the site in Fasterfox with prefetching diabled, then look at your server logs. Fasterfox timer bug Message-ID: <5d5626b0611240524u6497157cu7cd2b23e57aca793@mail.gmail.com> Hi there, For professional purpose, I'd need to have the bug 14448 fixed ( http://bugzilla.mozdev.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14448). I tried myself, in an enterprise-internal extension I built from Fasterfox, with particular functions (logging web site load time on client side, in a database, via an XmlHttpRequest and features like this). This definitely works well except the fact the counter applies to all the application, which means it will fire when the first tab begins being loaded, and stop when the last tab has finished loading. I tried to correct this myself in my application, but failed :-( Does anyone feels able to fix that ? To give me a workaround or stuff like this ? Thanks a lot in advance.
