[Fasterfox] Profile corrupted

Thomas,

I deeply regret the inconvenience this is no doubt causing you right now.

You appear to be very articulate and well-versed in customizing Firefox with
Extensions, and I am sure that you are aware that there are thousands of
Firefox extensions available. You can probably imagine that for a developer
it is a monumental task to ensure that a given extension does not conflict
with any other extension out there.

I can promise you that I will look into the Session Saver and closeall
extensions and try to reproduce the problem and fix any conflicts so that
this problem does not happen to other users. Unfortunately, from my
experience, sometimes when errors like this arise rebuilding the profile is
the best solution (I wish I could count how many times I've had to do this
with all the extensions I've tested).

Although, I've heard it can be very tricky, you may be able to try
uninstalling Fasterfox manually as described in this how-to:
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Uninstalling_extensions. The Fasterfox GUID is
{c36177c0-224a-11da-8cd6-0800200c9a66} and it installs to this location:
C:\Documents and Settings\<<USER NAME>>\Application
Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<<unique
id>>.default\extensions\{c36177c0-224a-11da-8cd6-0800200c9a66} (you must
have hidden files shown in order to see this path).

Good luck, let me know how this works for you, and I will continue to look
into other possible solutions for you.

Apologies again,

Tony

Dear Fasterfox developer(s),

I installed your extension and then proceeded to close Firefox. I
rebooted Firefox, which installed updates to other extensions and installed
your extension. I resumed my previous session using Session Saver. The MR
Tech Local Install extension then prompted me to delete the closeall
extension because it had incorporated the feature of the closeall extension.

After Firefox had booted, my extensions seemed as if they were disabled.
I rebooted Firefox and, ever since, Firefox can perform no useful function
other than exiting the program.

Also, the Fasterfox extension does not appear when I search my hard
drive, only temporary internet files exist. Could you please give me a
solution to this problem. I highly customize Firefox and to do it over would
take a few hours.
