Hi There,
Great extension you've developed here, a must have in my opinion. I just
donated $10 as a gesture of my appreciation :) . It has made most of the
sites I browse on a regular basis a lot quicker to render on the screen.
One feature of your extension that caught my eye in particular was the page
load timer. I do a lot of performance testing on websites, and one tool
that I use quite extensively for this is IBM's Page Detailer Basic. What it
does is breaks down each HTTP items loading times so you can see things
like DNS lookup times, server response times and content delivery times. It
also tracks each HTTP items file size which is great for keeping an eye on
image bloat, as well as seeing just how much HTTP compression is saving.
However there are two very large drawbacks with this program, and they are
that it only works with Internet Explorer (The only thinng I use IE for now
is this), and there is absolutely no way to export results to a report for
spreadsheet or similar analysis.
I was just wondering if there would be any chance of you ever considering
adding this kind of functionality to the FasterFox extension?
Regards,
P.S - I think IBM Page Detailer Basic is still a free download, but being
IBM there are a few hoops you have to jump through before being able to
download it. If you want to get a copy without the hassle, just let me know
and I'll send it to you.
