[Fasterfox] conflicting preferences?

Fasterfox is a Great extension. I'm just wondering if
the extension changes anything in the system or just
tells firefox how to behave. It sounds alot like
this...

Or if it doesn't maybe you could incorporate some of
this into it, although this only works for windows,
may require more direct access to the computer and
needs to have time to observe the computers behavior,
this would be pretty helpful. More to the point does
fasterfox do this or not, so that I can go ahead and
