[Fasterfox] Quick Question

I have a question. I have the newest version of Firefox (as of  11/11/05), 
and still have the 0.7.9 version of Fasterfox. I tried to download it  from both 
Betanews.com and your site. When I download it it says that there is a  
"Download Error". Do I have to uninstall the older version of Firefox first? And  
last time when I got the 0.7.9 version it was just a regular install file and  
this one is a .xpi file. Do I have to do something different? Please tell me,
