[Fasterfox] Curious behavior/bug

Windows XP SP2, Firefix 1.5 RC1, Fasterfox 0.8.0

Installing and enabling Faster using default settings renders Fire unusable;
it simply spins on my homepage (my.yahoo.com) and never loads. Other pages
are the same way.

But if I use custom settings, and turn on the options by hand, things work,
though not noticeably faster (I have nominal 1536 kb/s download DSL). Even
using the Default or Courteous setting makes Fire unusable (spins uselessly
on pages).

Using the custom settings, I tried the prefetch test of
http://xulplanet.com/references/elemref/, then examined memory and disk
cache using about:cache. I counted only 7 xulplanet.com links in disk and
memory cache. So I'm not convinced prefetching is working correctly for me.

BTW, in the Cache option, the units are contradictory: 65536 bytes is never
equal to 64MB, and so on. I'm not sure if the values entered in the
textboxes are bytes or KB.
