Hi Scott,
Please forgive the lateness of this reply.
To check what is in your cache, the best method is to type "about:cache" in
the location bar, and click "disk cache". A page that seems to do a lot of
prefetching is here: http://xulplanet.com/references/elemref/. Let me know
if you notice any difference.
Tony

Subject: [Fasterfox] Prefetching Question
Tony,
I just installed Fasterfox 0.8.1 with Firefox 1.5 (final). I have the
"Turbo" option selected.
I tried to verify that prefetching was working, so I opened my cache
directory in Explorer and then tried loading pages that had plenty of
links that I expected would be prefetched (HTML files, JPG files, etc.--
one page I used was http://news.google.com ).
However, after the initial page stopped loading, the overall file count
and size of the cache directory didn't increase. This would seem to
indicate that nothing was being prefetched.
Am I interpreting this correctly?
Thanks,
Scott
