please find the corresponding log entry in the Enigmail Console.
1) restart Enigmail
2) enable advanced settings in OpenPGP preferences
3) send yourself a signed mail to generate the error
4) in the MAIN TB window, open OpenPGP->Debugging Options->View Console

If that doesn't tell you what the problem is, please post it here.
