First, keys with preferred keyserver settings are refreshed by querying the
indicated server. Then GnuPG generates and sends a single request to your
selected keyserver (either in gpg.conf or Enigmail's settings) for the remaining
keys.

Not really. If you select a set of keys, those key IDs are passed to GnuPG. If
you select Refresh All, GnuPG generates the list from your keyring.

*ALL* actual key operations are handled by GnuPG. Enigmail only serves as a
front end, generating a command line which is passed to GnuPG for execution.

You can't spell fiasco without SCO. hkp://keyserver.gingerbear.net or
Send email with subject HELP to pgp-public-keys at keyserver.gingerbear.net

"what's the key to success?" / "two words: good decisions."
"what's the key to good decisions?" / "one word: experience."
"how do i get experience?" / "two words: bad decisions."

"Just how do the residents of Haiku, Hawai'i hold conversations?"
