[Enigmail] Enigmail hanging when importing a public key?

When someone sends me a message I click the pen icon which attempts to
find the public key by their ID. I tried connecting to
pool.sks-keyservers.net and the progress bar simply hangs. I've waited a
long time before hitting cancel.
