The raw source of Taum Tanlon's posts to the list show:
Content-type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii
Content-transfer-encoding: 7bit

No HTML tags show in the raw source.

When Taum Tanlon's e-mail quoted a post, the original post had not been
composed in HTML.

But it would be useful to know whether, in spite of the indicated above,
there might be other possibilities for HTML, or non-text/plain to "sneak
in" when composing e-mails.

PGP/MIME is a good work around, but not a solution since not all MUA's
handle PGP/MIME correctly or at all.

I have e-mailed Taum an OFF LIST test/exercise signed/encrypted message
suggesting that he checks whether Thunderbird's Composing/Wrap around is
set to its default 72.
