[Enigmail] confused lot

Hi,

I am a newbie. I have a problem.

Earlier our organization were using PGP tool for encrypting. Customer A
had given us a Public Key. Each employee was using this common key for
encrypting and at the customer side, again there was a common key.

But the things changed slightly. Each user @ the customer's place has
his / her own Key which is located at a key server accessed by http. We
downloaded for one of the user X.

I was not aware of OpenPGP for thunderbird. Thunderbird happens to be
the default client for all us. I installed OpenPGP (Enigmail) as per the
instructions. It asked for Key generation and I generated a new key and
shared with X. But X tells me that I need to use the common key (Public
Key) given by them for encryption.

When I opened the Key management from the OpenPGP menu, I got to see
that against my name pub/sec is mentioned and against the common key
only pub is mentioned. Further, my key is bold. So naturally that is the
default key to be used.

The problem is how do I use the Common key for encryption ? I tried to
change the default settings from the Account Settings so that only the
desired key is picked up during the encryption. But it does not seem to
work....

Any help would be appreciated.
