I have been following this thread for quite a while and it is my
impression that Enigmail was created to make using GnuPG easier. There
are a number of us that have been around for awhile, but we must
remember how we started by creating a key pair and even updating and
creating additional secret keys and adding UID's to the key pair. A new
user sometimes needs their hands held until they understand the process.
We should not reprimand the new user who is trying to encrypt their
email, but provide the support to the new user so that they can join our
community.
Enigmail is a user friendly front end to GnuPG and those of us who are
members of the Enigmail community need to welcome the new comer into the
community.
I think that I have said enough :-)
