different for windows and linux.  Thus if you share the entire profile
directory between the two systems one instance of enigmail will work
while the other will not.  Also, any other plugins that you install will
only work on one system.

Sharing the entire profile directory tree has caused troubles.  If you
set the gpg path to /usr/bin/gpg in linux that will mess up the
